Everyone Plays® is the first of AYSO’s Six Philosophies. And it really means what it says!
In AYSO, EVERY player gets to play at least 50 percent of every game (some AYSO Regions even mandate that each player gets to play three quarters of the game!)
It doesn’t matter if they’re a little slower on the field, missed practice or were late for the game…they still get to play a minimum of half the game.
Withholding time on the field is never a punishment or penalty in AYSO.
AYSO’s trained coaches know that their role is to first develop winning players.
A child doesn’t learn to play soccer or improve his or her skills sitting on the bench. They get better – and have more fun – by playing!
A fast-food breakfast on the way to school can save some time, but your kids pay
for it with more saturated fat, more salt, more sugar and almost as many
calories as an ice cream sundae (and that yummy sausage-egg-cheese-croissant may
go down fast, but there is heck to pay on your hips, too!)
Plus it’s a hard habit to break. According to a recent study by the Center for
Weight and Health at the University of California, Berkeley, food consumption
away from home has increased dramatically, with the greatest increase taking
place at fast-food restaurants.
So a nutritious breakfast really is the most important meal of the day at your
house…and is fast, too!
